School celebrated 75th Republic day with great Patriotic fervour . The tricolour was hoisted by honourable Chairman of the vidyalaya Shri P Sudhakaran. Honorary Secretary Shri Naveen Lakshmanan , Principal Mrs. Geethanjali Sunil ,Vice Principal Mrs. Premaja OB ,staff and students attended the function .

National girl child day was celebrated in the school with a variety of programs.

Inauguration ceremony of CDH activities for the year 2024 was conducted in School today in association with Kannur Dental college,Anjarakandi .

Our students had the privilege of visiting and participating in the ' Samvada' programme organised by the Kerala High Court on 17 January 2024.The students had a very enlightening and interesting session with Justice Amit Rawal who encouraged the students to question and think out of the school boundaries.

On the holy occasion of Makar Sankranti our school organised different programmes on 15 January for the students in the morning assembly.

Annual Day Celebration

The school Annual Day MALHAR 2023 was celebrated on 22nd December 2023.

Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Kannur hosted the 25th Kannur Sahodaya annual athletic meet. The meet was held at the University stadium Mangattuparamba.

Science and Math exhibition for classes 1 to 5 conducted on 13/11/23 was inaugurated by our beloved Principal Mrs. Geetanjali Sunil. The students showcased their talents by presenting items from water sources - dispensers - purifiers , function of the heart - lungs to Robots.

The 2 day Cultural Fest,Melange -2023 got underway when it was inaugurated today by the Principal Mrs. Geethanjali Sunil . The Cultural Minister Miss.Keerthi Preman delivered the welcome address. Various competitions like General Quiz, House dance, Mad ads , Theme dance etc were some of the items conducted on the first day.

A Session on Mastering mind and Memory was conducted today by Dr.AV Swaminathan for students of classes IX& XI.

Vigilance week was organized in the school from 1st to 9th November. Various activities were organized. Students took Pledge against bullying.

Team Bhavans-Winners of the Science Exhibition conducted by Chintech Biotechnology Department. The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10000 and certificates.

World Artist Day was celebrated today by students painting on the long canvas strip set up in the school auditorium.

Teacher’s Day was celebration became one of a kind and unique this year when the students dedicated the Young Entrepreneurs’ Exhibition to the teachers. Inaddition to this there was dance performance , poem recital and speeches by students in the morning assembly. Teachers too shared their experiences with the students.

Young Entrepreneurs Exhibition 2023 was conducted for the first time in school this year . Students of Classes 11&12 put up around 20 stalls with varieties of items which ranged from potted plants,Organic pesticides,food stalls , handicrafts, computer related exhibition etc...

To encourage students to eat more healthy, Health and Wellness Club organised "Fuel For The Future" initiative.
As part of this initiative,students brought fruits , vegetables, dairy products,protein rich food and whole grain rich food every day as snacks from July 31st to August 4th.

Inter house football tournament for classes IX and X was conducted.

Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic ferbour with a variety of programmes which included scholl band playing the National Anthem, inter house patriotic song competition,fancy dress etc.

VANMAHOTSAV Celebration

School celebrated VANAMAHOTSAV by staging a Dance performance by the students of Class XI which highlighted the importance of trees and mother nature. The Principal Mrs. Geethanjali Sunil handed over two Saplings to the Head Boy and Head Girl to be planted in the school premises. A speech was delivered in the morning assembly by Anavadya of Class XI about the importance of celebrating VANAMAHOTSAV .

INVESTITURE CEREMONY-2023-24

The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 was held today (30 June) in the open air auditorium of the school at 10a.m . The function began with the Principal Mrs. Geethanjali Sunil administering the Oath to the School Head Girl Vedamithra and Head Boy Rohith Anand. This was followed by Oath taking of the four House Captains of Akash, Prithvi ,Agni and Thishool respectively and the other council members . Vice Principal Mrs. Premaja O.B adorned badges and Sashes on the members of the school council. This year also saw the selection of Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl who were selected from class V.

International Day Against Drug Abuse

The day was observed in school by the students preparing pamphlets and posters highlighting the adverse effects of substance abuse . Students delivered speeches in the morning assembly on the same. Class 12 arranged the Bulletin Board with articles, pictures and slogans . The highlight of the occasion was a motivational talk on "Embrace Life and not drugs" by Mr Rajeev AP, Preventive Officer,Excise Range Office Kannur.

World Music Day was celebrated by the students with a beautiful Western song sung in the morning assembly.

The School celebrated International Yoga day truly upholding its essence and glory. The Yoga Day programmes included A session on Yoga and it’s importance by the International Yoga trainer Mr Anil Kumar.
Beautifully Choreographed dance inculcating different yoga poses and ‘aasanas’ was performed by girls of classes 9 and 11. There was yoga presentation by both students and teachers. Yoga Quiz was also conducted for the students.

A grand Felicitation Ceremony was organised at school today to felicitate 2023 SSCE and SSE toppers . The ceremony was attended by the Members of the Management Committee, Principal, Vice Principal, parents ,Staff and students of the Vidyalaya. Certificate and trophies were awarded to the toppers .
An awareness session on ADHD and Learning Disabilities was organised, on for parents and teachers.

World Blood Donor Day

The students celebrated World Blood Donor day by arranging the Bulletin Board highlighting the importance of the day observed. Students also delivered speeches in the morning assembly on the same.

ᴄᴇʟᴇʙʀᴀᴛɪɴɢ ᴡᴏʀʟᴅ ᴏᴄᴇᴀɴꜱ ᴅᴀʏ

The school celebrated World Ocean Day with an aim of protecting and safeguarding our oceans and other water bodies by organising various programmes at school. Class VIII students did the noble gesture of cleaning a part of Payyambalam beach and its premises. They also lighted ' Diyas' as a loving tribute to this important element of life.

𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Environment Day was celebrated in the school this year with motto ' Beat the Plastic '. Students took the Environment Pledge in the morning assembly which was followed by motivating speeches for the protection of environment and a flash mob create awareness about how the environment is being destroyed and degraded by human activities by the students of class XI and XII. There was also a rally by the students holding placards to Kakkad town where again the flash mob was performed to create awareness among the general public.

An Orientation Programme for the newly joined students and their parents was organised in school on 3rd June , Saturday. The session was organised with the aim of imparting information about the rules and regulations to be followed at school so that the new students would have no difficulty to cope up with the functioning of school.

𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨'𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

The students of class XII gave a grand welcome to the students of class XI in a colourful programme which included music and dance and self introduction of students. The new students were made to feel at ease and relaxed by the seniors with their warm welcome.

PARENTING -A BLESSING

A seminar on Good Parenting was conducted for parents of students of class VII to Class XII by the renowned Resource person Mr.MK Deepak. Essential qualities needed by every parent to deal with children in the modern changing times was explained in the session. A seminar on Gentle Parenting was organised by Mr. Vinayan Uthamman for the parents of students of classes I to 6 on 31 May. The session concentrated on the do's and don'ts while dealing with the young minds.
